One Breath, One Gift, One New Life

Forty years of smoking slowly stole my lungs. COPD turned every step into a battle for air, until a double lung transplant in 2023 gave me a second chance. This is the story of how I learned to live, hope, and smile again—breath by breath.

Sometimes I even caught something on a boat after a lung transplant.

Observations of a New Breather

I’m not here to sell pills or programs, and I have nothing to prove. I simply share my very personal journey through the ups and downs of COPD and my life after a lung transplant, using a mix of realism and a bit of dark humor.

Personal view: Just a guy sharing his own perspective on finding light in the struggle, without needing to justify a single word I write.

My own story: Raw, unfiltered thoughts on living with borrowed lungs and navigating this weird, wonderful second chance we call life today.

Purely sharing: No agendas or sales pitches here, just one person’s honest take on surviving the breathless days with a smile and a shrug.

Trial, Error, and Air

I spent years figuring out the small tricks they don't put in medical pamphlets. From juggling scary breathlessness to navigating the heavy days, I’ve done the messy work of finding what actually keeps a person going.

Beyond the Lab Coats

A transplant isn’t some magical reset button; it’s a weird, gritty, and beautiful new chapter. I talk about the scars and the pills, but also the total joy of just existing, shared like a chat between two old friends.

Choosing Life Daily

I’m navigating the grocery store and morning coffee, just like you. I share my story to show that even with the ups and downs, we can still find reason to laugh. It's about making peace with the struggle and choosing to show up.
